you have been looking for the perfect general contractor for a long time and took your number 2 and a very good house, of course you will also have a very good house. I will come to compare in the summer and decide the winner, (I am bribeable) ;)

Of course, we did that too. But why should I live with the residual risk? It’s better if I only pay for what I actually received and can verify. Instead of sugarcoating a not-so-great solution, I would rather address the general contractor about it. He has made a calculation and also received offers for the individual trades which he does not perform himself. So it’s just a push of a button for him to print that out for you in detail.

By the way, I think it's great that people don't treat me as harshly as some other TE. Is this still the Christmas relaxation? ;) Very pleasant "discussion". It should always be like this.

And further suggestions or opinions are of course still welcome. I constantly read along and if there is something to answer, I do so immediately. The last pages were rather a bit digressive :p

We obtained a turnkey offer from a prefabricated house builder and a local general contractor purely for orientation purposes. This clarified the upper limit of the project. We then took out a loan for this amount. This made it clear that we would definitely be able to complete the house (plus garage in our case). Everything we save through help from the family and our own efforts is planned for the outdoor area (terrace, garden, driveway, paths).

Yes, so digressive that actually now the curiosity about and contracts has been aroused, because apparently quite different parameters are at play there. I would invite everyone to popcorn if you can take a look at the contracts here to see whether some of them are niche contracts. As for you , there’s actually nothing more to say, unless you a) present your cost breakdown and b) the draft on which everything is based. Sweet or salty?
