: Thanks, now it was understandable for me. Certainly one possibility, however we are not planning a staircase with "all-round" exterior walls, but rather a railing open to the north side. The goal: to make the hallway and staircase appear "airier", then brighter and the entire hallway area then appears more spacious. With this staircase solution, I no longer see your sketched solution, or?

By the way, the storage room is now a bit larger.

Bedroom: yes, we will probably remove the dividing wall between sleeping and dressing. Then the room is no longer so strongly angled. We do like the quasi "airlock" at the entrance to the parents’ area, however.

Nope, me neither, hence the reference to the lighting plan in the first post. Although the hallway north of the stairs would have been noticeably brighter and more clearly zoned, while the stairs would have been darker and less airy. Since the wardrobe is still too small for the number of people and requirements, a solution is needed, which will probably be more extensive.

I really like the floor plan. And the wardrobe has space on both sides of the front door, plus the part by the garage entrance plus the storage room. So I think that's sufficient. With us, only hooks will be installed because a) more can fit there and b) the children don't hang anything on hangers anyway. The adults will surely leave their jackets by your garage door and the front part is sufficient for children and guests. Storage room open: backpacks, shoes, etc. in, door closed. Great. However, I would have the storage room door open towards the front door, so mirrored.

on the topic of storage room:

it resembles our cloakroom, which we built under the highest part under the stairs (approx. 1m x 1m): door opening outwards, currently opposite the door a floor-to-ceiling shelf 30 cm deep: a huge number of shoes fit in there, left wall is a clothes rail on wheels for our jackets. The plan is to swap both: shelves on the left, clothes rail opposite. Oh yes: right wall has space for hooks for bags and pouches. On the floor there would also be space for the vacuum cleaner
Maybe that's an idea for your storage room? Unfortunately the window doesn't cooperate there... oops:

: Yes, you are right. But since the front door will have windows above and beside the door leaf (narrow ones), we believe that hopefully enough light will come in. However, we will think about it again. Especially the door to the storage room we will reconsider; possibly we will also forego this door in favor of more light, but actually the light coming in from the left, right, and above the front door should be sufficient, right? Why do you think the wardrobe is too small? We will mostly locate the children's wardrobe in the storage area of the garage. Next to it, the storage room will also have space for a 2nd (not used very often) wardrobe. In the front area (1 meter wide) there should be about 10-15 hangers, 4-6 pairs of parents' shoes (frequently used). Since we will have a clear room height of 3 meters on the ground floor, we will also have space above the hanger rail for shelves (within reach) for hats, caps, and above that (no longer within reach) theoretically space for further, less frequently used items, and the same applies again in the storage room. If that still is not enough, we can also place wardrobes (e.g., winter clothing in summer) in the play cellar (with underfloor heating/plastered walls, tiled) in the yet not drawn Pax wardrobe (somewhere the existing Pax has to go ). Of course, this is not an all-in-one generous (consistent) wardrobe solution, but in my opinion, it is adequate for our needs. If we had been able to build more floor area, we would certainly have designed the wardrobe more generously, by the way also the corridor width (which is now "only" 1.76 meters at least in the north-south axis). Thank you very much for your thoughts!

: Thank you very much. What do you mean by "open the storage room towards the front door"? Then we would lose the wardrobe space (with hanger rail), wouldn't we?

No, I just mean to change the door hinge. So that you don’t have to walk around the door to open it when you come in through the front door. Practically speaking, the children's cloakroom by the garage is not optimal. At least our children mostly go on foot. To kindergarten, school, etc. But the parents drive to work or quickly go shopping by car.
