Hi everyone,
quick question and hope you can help us decide. We currently have a storage room (4.54 sqm) on the upper floor. Below it is a bathroom (11.74 sqm). We definitely want to make the bathroom a bit smaller, around 10 sqm. Then the storage room would be about 6.3 sqm.
Since our bedroom is above the storage room, we are considering converting the storage room into a bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower. Access would be through the bedroom. And just for us :D

The bathroom would then be for the kids later, first child is currently 6 months old, for bathing or when there is a backlog. There is still a guest toilet downstairs in case of emergency.
What do you think? The price would be about 3000,- and stay within budget.

We know it would be a luxury. Many would probably prefer a storage room for storage options. On the other hand, we have a large utility room and a large guest room where things can be stored. Then there is also a large garage and a big shed of 60 sqm on our property. Of course, some things surely wouldn’t be stored in the shed or garage (bedding, towels, etc.).
Whenever we think about what would go into the storage room, not much comes to mind except vacuum cleaner, suitcases, or something like that. But those are things that could also go elsewhere. Vacuum cleaner in the office and suitcases in the attic.
Of course, over time things will come up that you want to store, which you don’t even think about today, but you don’t want to clutter up either :)

What do you think?

huh???
Something's not right, is it? Where is the bathroom or the storage room? So it doesn't work to enlarge the storage room by making the bathroom underneath smaller. Or is the room supposed to span two floors???

A plan would be helpful and I think the bathroom and storage room are next to each other, right?

Basically, a second bathroom is a nice luxury if you won't miss the storage space.

You can never have enough bathrooms :D
But you don’t need it if you sleep in the attic and there is a regular bathroom there.
Otherwise: please plan

:D Thanks for the hint. The bathroom is next door. Poorly described, I was thinking of the top view.

About it, below it... You can never have enough storage space :) You need to upload the entire plan to be able to judge it Greetings

I agree with Yvonne (once again): you basically never have enough storage space, and cleaning supplies in the study are rather suboptimal in my opinion.

But now you can discuss and assume and think: plan, please, and for the entire house. Then you can say something concrete about it.
The brief explanation is not illuminating either. The bathroom is now next to what? Next to the bedroom, storage room, or is the bedroom next to the storage room or above it? Or below it or what?

So please upload the plan.
