Well then go ahead and paint us your realistic picture. In the short to medium term, in my opinion, it’s primarily about which energy source shows the flattest price increase curve. And especially with electricity, I see the greatest potential if the right levers are pulled (Merit Order, etc...).

We implement - alongside a photovoltaic mandate - simply an air conditioning mandate. Then there are enough consumers for the electricity and everyone lives happily in their cool apartments and houses ;)

In a new building, I consider these assumptions to be complete nonsense. And anyone who builds in a new building without underfloor heating has completely lost their mind. This is regardless of whether you start with gas or a heat pump.

We received our annual statement yesterday. The relief amount for electricity is a huge €1. For gas, €20. We consumed 8500 kWh for our 105 sqm house. The previous year's consumption by the previous owner was 21000 kWh. On cold days, we turned on the stove at noon, and we didn't need to heat the upper floor at all because of the good roof insulation. We're a bit pissed off, of course, because the 80% relief now applies to the 8500 kWh and not to the 21000 ..... So we were too frugal.

I don't understand ... you didn't have to pay ANYTHING for the saved difference of 12500 kWh. That should be your positive success experience.

That's true, but for the special thriftiness (which was already mandatory at 17 cents) I would find it fair if we at least had the 12 cents per kWh on the meter in the normal range. Especially since the wood doesn't fall from the sky (this winter it was still old wood from the takeover, for next winter we have to buy).
