For this reason, moving into a new building with initial consumption costs that do not match any household, a meaningful comparison is difficult to make Tell me how the winter will be, and I'll start with that ;)

Your gas forecast is off. It will be decisive with a full year including 2 cold periods (winter/spring). You are extrapolating somewhat since summer including a historically warm autumn.

I have been analyzing for 7 years. This year is the lowest in consumption due to the warm temperatures.

Two years ago, during the harsh winter, we had the highest consumption.

I can confirm.

New build 2020, solar hot water
1st heating year (after moving in): 15,000 kWh gas
2nd heating year (despite family growth): < 10,000 kWh

Prices (somehow I seem to have slipped through the "increase" grid :) consumption prices: 6ct gas, 24.5 ct electricity

Could have the same provider as Winniefred

Oh, dear ypg, I think we've already had this topic in another thread. ;-) Not everything we do here in the forum has to make sense, sometimes you can do something just for fun!!! :-) :-) :) Please start with it already beforehand, just for us here. :) I'm sure you have forecasts from your providers. ;-)

I checked and the highest gas consumption we ever had was 11535 kWh (2020-21) and the lowest was 8239 kWh (2019-20) and the average over the last 5 years was 9679 kWh.

For electricity, I unfortunately cannot say consistently at the moment, as I am missing one bill (provider went bankrupt) and one was also estimated. I would say on average around 2000 kWh electricity.

If your nickname refers to your place of residence, we are very far apart :p.

I find forecasts difficult. I have the impression that an annual maintenance of our heating system actually reduces consumption - but it also causes additional costs. And in the end, everything depends on the weather. If it is -10° outside, you just have to heat more than at a mere 6°. In this respect, in the current situation, one can only hope that the coming winter will be mild.
