Electricity and Gas Brake - Interested in some numbers?

My gas supplier has announced new surcharges on their homepage. The surcharge decided by the government is 2.4 cents and is supposed to mitigate the consequences for the companies supplying the gas. So my already increased price rises again by 31,772 kW * 2.4 cents = 762 euros/year. Thanks to the traffic light coalition government.

Converting to a heat pump is not financially an option.

The heat pump is supposed to cost about 40k plus conversion of the radiators and hot water supply another approx. 10k.

Heat pump efficiency 400% 31,700 / 4 = 7,925 kW * 30 cents = 2,377 euros/year.

Gas forecast max 12 cents * gas savings 20% 31,700 * 0.8 * 0.012 = 3,043 euros/year.

Savings with heat pump 666 euros/year.

50,000 / 666 = 75 years until the initial investment would pay off. The heat pump will not last that long and neither will I.

That's true, but for the special frugality (which was already obligatory at 17 cents) I would find it fair if we at least had 12 cents per kWh in the normal range. Especially since the wood doesn’t fall from the sky (this winter it was still old wood from the takeover, for next winter we have to buy it)

Yes, but with that under 12 cents and you would get the entire consumption at that rate. You have to write off the rest as a learning expense, it's not a huge amount.
