Yes, that's just how it is, like everywhere in life...

For one person a Smart is enough and another needs an E-Class...

For me it was never up for debate to have just a couple of sockets and LAN here and there... I always hated all the multiple sockets in the corners of the rental apartment... besides, such things can quickly become overloaded if you have more than just a TV, sat receiver and a Blu-ray player connected...

And since in my case a double combination only cost about 30 euros, sockets went everywhere it was conceivable...

Well, and LAN cable was even partly free, so several hundred meters went into the house... I already wrote about coax at 20 cents per meter, what is there to think about? Just lay it into every room and that's that... then you're at 50 euros for the whole house...

: I did the sockets similarly to you. However, we did not do the elaborate KNX (didn't have any money left for that).

: I used LAN cables very sparingly. However, where it is, I need it, otherwise wireless works fine.

: COAX: In every room except the hallway and guest WC/laundry room. That’s really only 50 euros (plus a few sockets later).

It's no different with 12 sockets side by side – or do you mean they all have a separate power supply (if so, then of course that's not a problem)?

So, we did it like this: We discussed with the master electrician what might or probably will be connected to which sockets with what assumed power consumption. And in doing so, we decided that anything exceeding about 1,600 watts (just to build in a bit of safety!) gets its own supply line. That required a bit of planning and a little more cable, but it was no problem.

I never said that it is a problem. Only very few people do it that way.

The master electrician who supported me insisted on it. I personally thought it was good. Some things are just simple. The vacuum cleaner has 1,600 watts. Where do you plug it in? Here, there, over there: separate circuit. And so on. It was planned in less than 60 minutes, the matter is finally and easily manageable.

I usually laid the cables myself as my own work. And the installation afterwards was always inspected by the master electrician with a protocol.

The amount of electrical work delivered with the house was abysmal. In total, 20 sockets. The installation company then quoted prices for the additions that were so high I literally got short of breath. So I simply expanded it further myself together with the trusted master electrician. A bit of a problem was the inspection, because the installation company from the house then refused. My master electrician then – he obviously knows the entire system, since the 20% from the house manufacturer were Mickey Mouse – handled the inspection.
