I am not sure. Does the field around belong to you? Or is it [Bauerwartungsland]? I can well imagine that others also have such ideas and then build something around it.

That looks like an outer area. Is the assignment to the inner area planned or already completed? Then presumably [der 34er] applies. So give more information about the surroundings. What does the neighboring development look like? Photos?

One might think that the basement is only being built because of a door fetish. In my eyes, the basement is practically not suitable for everyday use. You would have to lock 5 doors with keys or codes to secure them to the outside in case the garage door is ever opened. Having a guest apartment is pretty cool, but a bedroom without windows, instead a hallway taking up half the exterior wall, is a consequence of the centrally located garage… I can't say anything about the rest, as I would have to read up on it again.

Sorry if we took this the wrong way, we haven’t been active for long yet.
It just comes across as strange when topics like style, positioning on the property, etc. are brought up
but no alternative suggestions follow or questions aren’t answered.

But now to the actual subject, our design.
The in-house garage in the basement is set for us. We’re not getting any younger either and it’s no fun having to carry beverage crates
and groceries over the yard into the house. In addition, the garage mainly serves as a workshop for me and the car will mostly be parked outside.
In the medium term, we’re planning a separate, detached garage or carport – but first we have to see
how we stand financially.
The driveway and the rest of the outdoor area are not really planned yet, we just wanted to show you the terrain layout here
and the access to the property (the driveway will definitely come from the north).

Due to the terrain, there will be no windows on the east side of the basement, the south side slopes toward the west,
the window of the storage room in the basement is currently planned as a light well at terrace level, for the south windows of the guest apartment
we thought of an open light well about 1.5m wide – adapted to the terrain slope (we had sketched this),
on the west side the terrain also slopes toward the north, so at the front building corner northwest
we have about 70cm where the natural ground is higher than the floor slab. We tried to depict this in the building views (green lines represent the modeled terrain slope, the natural terrain slope was shown in dark green in the first plans, but the building is now set deeper into the terrain – topic full story).

We want the living space on the ground floor to be spacious, also to have accessibility later if necessary. It should be our
retirement home hopefully into old age. We’ll think about the wall recesses again intensively, there’s certainly room for optimization there.
Regarding the toilets: main bathroom and guest WC on the ground floor are a must. A small bathroom in the guest apartment too, we can argue about the toilet next to the garage which can really be seen as a luxury. But having to walk into the ground floor with dusty, dirty clothes doesn’t have to be.
In addition, the room is to serve as a dog shower when we come back dirty from a walk.

I find this a very difficult topic. Either within the thermal envelope. Then the garage door must also insulate well and only be open for as short a time as possible in winter. If the garage is to be outside the thermal envelope, everything around the room must be perfectly insulated. I would always tend to prefer a standalone garage.

We are not here to read your justifications. If you want to build 4 toilets - go ahead. Car in the house - just do it. You still won’t get approval from me at least. You have then built something for 30 years. The next person will tear it down because they can’t use it. I call that environmental pollution.
