The hallway seems overcrowded. Where is the upper floor? How do you imagine it? Discussing only the ground floor is pointless.

That's roughly how I imagine it. I would like a master bathroom and a children's bathroom. Possibly an office. Depending on how the floor plan looks downstairs and how the house is positioned later or what the dimensions are.

What do you mean by that? Oversized?

At first glance, this may look a bit strange, but I could also imagine this: The footprint of the house here is 10x10. With such a small plot, it is not uncommon to build smaller and then go deeper or higher. In your case, it looks like the neighbors have also built with 2 floors + an attic. At least some of them, right? Then it would be worth considering, for example, putting the children under the roof and distributing the rest over the 2 floors. Then 10x10 would probably be sufficient. Turning would still be possible, as long as you’re not driving a bus. The cars here correspond to current Golf dimensions.

Yes, we had actually considered positioning the house and the carport like that once. But then even more paving would be required than otherwise. And it would also be significantly more expensive. In terms of orientation, however, that would be the best solution.

And yes, the neighboring buildings are partly 3 stories, but partly only 1.5. So we are currently planning with 2 full stories without attic conversion. However, if the district office allows us 3 stories or 2.5, that would be conceivable. I rather suspect it won’t be the case though.

Thank you for the suggestion with the 3 stories, we actually hadn’t really considered that so far.

I wouldn't spontaneously agree with that now. The price of the house largely depends on the finished square meters. Whether you stack them on top of each other or next to each other is relatively irrelevant, as long as you build 2 floors with a roof on top anyway. More likely the other way around. If something like that was allowed next door, the office would have to justify why it is not allowed in your case.
