From recent experience, I can only strongly recommend having the construction service specification checked by a professional and not in a forum. It costs 200-400€ but it will then be individually checked based on the draft (provided the general contractor has already made a draft with you). Everything else is gambling. Our experience, especially with the BIG players, was to sign first -> then proceed to detailed planning. No one wanted to change anything in the floor plan before that. But on this basis, any calculation is just rolling the dice with numbers! I can only sincerely advise you to proceed as follows: 1. Plan the floor plan including windows as you wish/see fit. 2. Send the construction service specification including the draft to a professional. 3. Review the corrected construction service specification with the general contractor. 4. Check the construction contract and also go through it with the general contractor before signing. Only in this way will you get what you really want in the end. Everything else will certainly swallow up a considerable buffer.
