Surcharge for shower tray + surcharge for the flat drain/trap + surcharge for the partition wall/door in the appropriate shape + surcharge for increased installation effort + incomprehensible mythical items – sealing, substructure,... they are very creative there. + VAT on everything

Voila!

Have fun!

the partition wall is not included in the construction service description at all, nor in the surcharge. There are separate pages for that in the catalog.

My list is meant to show that one can bid farewell to the thought:

... but really!

I wouldn’t order from the house builder anymore, but from the craftsman himself. And when the plumbers are treated respectfully by the builders, and there’s time for a little chat, they can do quite a lot for a small amount of money.

Our general contractor wished it that way himself. “You want a different tub? Then contact the specialist when the time comes. He will plan the details with you anyway.”

Still: nothing is free, and you have to pay for quality.

It was the same with ours. But this mostly works only for smaller ones. The larger ones have their own sampling centers and rarely or very unwillingly share contact with the subcontractors.

I cannot confirm this for Town & Country, at least our franchisee sent us to various small regional companies for the samples and, for example, said that the electrician would make us a direct offer regarding additional sockets/LAN etc., and we would simply clarify that with him accordingly, as well as with some other change requests.
