Sure, right

Of course, you are also completely right about the laying stage. I hadn’t really considered that at all... Thanks, you’ve definitely already given me some helpful tips!

White risers only work if the stairs don’t even see a single slipper. In English, they are not called kickboards for nothing. You always bump into them, and that leaves marks. We have floor-to-ceiling glass as a partition wall in the office. If we’re looking for the cleaning staff, you almost always find them quickly by the stairs, polishing the glass. :D

So a concrete staircase can definitely look nice. High abrasion-resistant paint makes it possible

It really looks great! So that means you painted the concrete directly and just added the treads? Our basement stairs are already in place and the concrete is, in my opinion, very clean. Only a few small bubbles, which probably wouldn’t matter.

Hello domebar.

This was done by a painter friend of mine. It's not that simple, depending on the quality of the concrete. It was filled and sanded a few times until it was smooth like a baby's bottom  .. Then the wood was applied, the joints were sealed, and this coating was applied twice. The staircase still looks like this after about 3 years. Don't be fooled by the bubbles or underestimate the effort if you want it to be perfect. Best regards
