Sidebyside? Such a huge two-door refrigerator in matte silver, with an ice cube maker, I guess. Cool things, if you already have everything else. Karsten

Terrible things! Big, ugly, stands in the middle of the room (or moderately well integrated into a niche), consumes a lot of electricity, often noisy and above all extremely impractical (freezer compartment usually only with shelves and/or narrow drawers, vegetables and such near the floor -> daily constant bending). Costs from about a thousand, but technically (noise, material quality (plastic bomb)) poorly equipped, apart from the almost unique selling point of an ice cube dispenser.

If any, then French door.

So, my wife has one from Bosch. Silver, around 1.80 meters high, a large door on top for the fridge, a small one below for the freezer compartment with three drawers. Enough for two people. We gave our old chest freezer to the children. It was always half empty anyway. We will keep this thing and put it in the new kitchen. We like it. If it breaks, we will buy a new one. The built-in refrigerator in the kitchen look is totally overrated. [emoji851]

One of those??? Your description doesn't sound like a SbS, but rather a normal combination unit. [emoji851]
A combination appliance can also be stylish and make ice cubes. Still, it is not as bulky and dominant as a SbS...

But we don't want to spoil the TE's SbS, it makes sense to plan a closed kitchen here.

Regards, Yvonne

For SBS we eat too little. And we also don't like to drink it so cold.
