Sounds optimistic. Two things that make me perk up: 1. Your father is carrying a huge amount of work. Can and does he want to manage that? What if he gets sick or injured? 2. No children planned? How old are you? Even same-sex marriages can have children nowadays. It usually doesn’t hurt to at least consider that option.
Those would be more the employees than himself, he would function more as the "financier," I know it sounds stupid & spoiled, but in this case it is no different and I’ve managed and done everything myself until now.
At the time of the house construction we are 27 & 26, a child’s room is to be planned, which we will use in the meantime as an office and storage/guest room until the garages are built, but I think for private reasons it will not come to us having children. I think that is not decisive now anyway.
The thing with the permit sounds good already, then the preliminary work can be spread over the 2 years :)
