Hi,

maybe I am completely wrong, but:

I actually only know marble as an extremely susceptible and very high-maintenance floor. Not to mention the in my opinion terrible appearance, but it has to please you, not me.

If you like it, ok. But a marble floor is certainly not low-maintenance!

Best regards,

Andreas

Ok, no marble! Because ease of maintenance is important to us. That is indeed a deal-breaker.

Wait, I said "I only know it as high-maintenance." Maybe something has changed in the meantime and I am mistaken. If I were you, I would question very carefully what kind of care is actually necessary.

How about tiles for you? Porcelain stoneware is really robust and hardly breakable.

Best regards,

Andreas

Easy to care for: linoleum, tiles/porcelain stoneware.
Beautiful: parquet (of course a matter of taste!).
Pleasant underfoot: cork, parquet, fitted carpet/rug.

We have cork everywhere except the entrance area, utility room, and bathroom (tiles in each case).

Yes, we are open to that. And for the upper floor also gladly parquet or similar (children's room, bedroom).

In the children's room, I would save myself any expensive covering. Just put down something that can be quickly replaced and is comfortable on the bottom when the child is sitting and playing on it.

Friends have now had beautiful parquet flooring laid in their living room. Little Susi with her ride-on car is happy. She scratched a road into it - 2 weeks after moving in - including a stop sign.
