It also depends on the furnishings and the amount of toys. Not overloaded 10sqm can offer more space than cluttered 15sqm. I am also of the opinion that a children's room, which is supposed to function until 18/19/20 or even 25 years, should be at least 15, preferably 20sqm. If possible! That doesn't mean you can't be happy with 12 sqm.

I have to say, including the granny flat (for longer visits from my mother-in-law) it’s even 300sqm + 70sqm basement + garage. Currently, there are 3 of us, but another child is planned. Let’s say it’s generous, but not as big as it seems.
Of course, it can be smaller, but often it’s nice to have a few extra sqm here and there. Admittedly, we also have above-average “traffic areas” because other things were simply more important to us than a few sqm here or there... Otherwise:
40sqm dining room/kitchen
35sqm living room
35sqm children’s room
30sqm man’s room
25sqm parents’ room
2 bathrooms without toilets
2 toilets

Sure, it’s generous, but not excessive...

It used to be called a gentlemen's room. Is it meant to serve that purpose? Is the floor plan visible here in the forum?

2 children's rooms=35sqm... Sorry, I summarized it. Yes exactly It's simply a room that I can plan however I want. Maybe not necessarily like you know it from old movies, a room where alcohol and cigarettes are in the foreground but with a home cinema corner, a few fitness devices, etc. My wife doesn't want to know anything about it Unfortunately, pictures and plans of the house cannot be found here. On the one hand, the house is not yet finished; on the other hand, we're also talking about salaries, equity, and loans, and I don't necessarily want that to lead to conclusions about me as a person.
