Cable connection and/or telephone connection

New construction = a new contract would be my thought now. I don't understand how one can be an existing customer. Or is existing customer meant at a different address?

New construction does not necessarily mean a new contract. As soon as you are already a Telekom customer at the old address, your contract will be transferred. This means you remain an existing customer, but with a new address.

And why doesn't the other part of the client couple sign the contract?

Because we weren't clever enough for that [emoji21]

I am considering whether Telekom will simply do the house connection only in 2 years. UnityMedia installs the house connection for 0€. A duct is being laid into the ground anyway. Telekom charges a flat rate of 800€ even though they don’t have to do any earthworks.

According to the UnityMedia homepage, the connection costs 398€ (as I already wrote before) IF you also sign a contract with them. Since this can be read on Unity Media’s homepage (keyword Bauherrenservice), I consider this information from me as currently the only correct one.

For Telekom, I can only rely on the statements of the employee on the phone, who said the connection costs a flat rate of 800€, and after setting up a new contract within X months, you receive a credit note of 400€.

As I said, I will get Unity Media first but already lay an empty conduit to the street and have the connection laid by Telekom in two years.

From my point of view, Unity Media and Telekom have almost the same conditions and almost the same procedure (waiting until the energy supplier makes the trench and lays cables inside, little work for yourself, but the flat rate is still due).
