Cable connection and/or telephone connection

Since Telekom only offers 16,000 DSL, I’m leaning more towards cable (up to 400mbit/s).

In the worst case, you can also have less than 50mbit with cable. Here, a total bandwidth is distributed among all connection holders. Watching Netflix in the evening can already become a challenge when everyone starts streaming at 8 pm (preferably in 4k).

But I would like to have both and therefore the question, how long can the activation of the connection be delayed? If I still get the 400€ discount even three years after the installation of the house connection, then I would choose one provider (e.g. UnityMedia with cable) for two years and then have the Telekom connection activated and also get the 400€ discount.

How about simply asking? The answer might just be a phone call away.

At Telekom, only a few months may lie between the connection order and the product order. However, there is no limit as to how far in the future the product may be. Alternatively, I am considering simply laying an empty conduit and only commissioning Telekom in two years. I will find out more, but I would also like a written response, as they only do everything over the phone.

You can book the tariff later - but if you book now, just make sure it goes through the building owner.

It looks like a house connection now costs 800,- instead of 600,- EUR and the credit is now only 200,- instead of 400,- EUR and "only for existing landline customers". How does that fit with the building owner service???

Well, I'll call them tomorrow and ask what they can even offer me. Our house connection was installed over 3 months ago, I still hope something can be done.

We got the connection 1 1/2 months ago under the known conditions. Call the [Bauherren-Service]. Then you'll know.

Both Untity Media and Telekom offer the connection for €400 (after discount) when signing a contract. At least with Telekom, the price without signing a contract is then €800.

I have already complained heavily that the jerks are putting me at a severe financial disadvantage as an existing customer. Of course, all I got was a shrug.
So I will switch to O2 and accept the contract there. They always have credits of 400€ for new customers.
