Cable connection and/or telephone connection

Does this have to be booked directly when ordering the connection or only after they have actually installed the connection?

Exactly! Just spoke with them again. The connection is now being set up, and we will talk again next year about the tariff. The builder's bonus and current offers will then be taken into account.

Move-in is only in mid-February.

I think in most areas Telekom is the only network provider. Not telephone providers, but the others use their network, except VF, who use Kabel Deutschland's network. So if you want a landline, you mostly have to go to Telekom or take VF's cable offer. You can do without a landline, no problem for calling, but for internet access mobile LTE is not really practical. My conclusion. I choose Telekom, and the 400,- maybe switch away later. I don't take cable, but Sat TV. It is what it is. Karsten

Since Telekom only offers 16,000 DSL, I am more inclined to choose cable (up to 400mbit/s).

However, I would like to have both and therefore the question is, how long can the activation of the connection be delayed? If I still get the 400€ discount even three years after the installation of the house connection, then I would choose one provider (e.g. UnityMedia with cable) for two years and afterwards have the Telekom connection activated and also receive the 400€ discount for that.
