We are building a house with a good home-building company. We ourselves know 10 clients who were very satisfied with them.
That alone would be reason enough for me to let this company make its necessary operating profit in order to still be able to keep its good people employed tomorrow. Ten personally known satisfied customers correspond, when extrapolated, to well over thirty satisfied customers that one only "knows" from standing next to the cheese counter. Don’t be bothered that the company shows its profit in the billing item tile price; that does not make the facts any worse. Consider the apparent tile profit margin as a surcharge on the entire house for the fact that you are building it with a company with so many satisfied customers that their intersection with your circle of acquaintances is at least double-digit. Complaining about the additional number “missing” when you already have six right is whining on a somewhat improper level ;-)
