The answer to this would be that it’s not you sourcing them, but the tile dealer?/installer? Was this communicated here? If the general contractor is so great AND cheap, you can't really say

Everyone knows that a house provider is cheap because the trades offer dumping labor prices. The companies can usually only "survive" by also making a profit on the upgrades at those prices. It’s all give and take. Everyone is entitled to treat themselves to expensive tiles. But then you should also make sure that the overall balance is right. My main argument, however, is still that those few thousand euros get stuck in a) storage b) 4 pallets at the curbside. As a tiler, I would not make sure that they arrive where they are actually installed.

With these huge shards, you almost have to carry each one into the house individually… :oops: :D Storage/transport is often neglected. With handy items, no problem, but with tiles…

Our tiler transported the tiles from the curb edge into the house for an hourly rate. Alone, in one day. And he was no spring chicken.
