We have a prefabricated house, so we planned and bought our kitchen before the creation of the working plans, then the kitchen plan could be taken into account immediately and we already had that matter settled. No down payment was required; only after the measurement, that is 6 weeks before delivery, 80% was paid, the rest after acceptance, so quite fair.
In hindsight, that was perfect because we really had it settled and at the measurement the exact dimensions were checked. The kitchen now fits perfectly. However, the prerequisite for this is having a planner who really knows his stuff because at that time you can’t really imagine what it will look like. After the shell construction, I thought to myself at times, "Oh dear, it could be pretty tight in the kitchen," but afterwards it turned out perfectly.
By the way, among others, we also inquired at Küchenquelle about an appointment at home (which would have been very practical with a child at home), but their phone response really blew us away: "We do not schedule customer appointments without a building permit." We did not have one at that time either. When we asked, they just said that kitchen offers from potential customers had been used for the building permit, but then no order came, so they no longer do it. However, she could not explain to me what kitchen plans or offers had to do with the building permit...
