“ALWAYS”
“Please don’t generalize always.”

“Umm… do I generalize always? :p That’s really funny!
Can you make sense of the term ‘with certainty’? That’s something different from ‘always.’
‘With certainty’ means: it can be assumed, but it could also turn out differently.
Always means 100% and leaves no room for exceptions.

You know what, Silke:
I notice that you like to pick on me and criticize my comments.
Look, others have touched on the topic like I have and share the same opinion, but you only quote me.
Here:

And here:

Or here:

I mean, I do enjoy replying to you, but wouldn’t it generally be more valuable to the forum to answer the questions rather than criticize my answers?

Now the thing is, the infrastructure development still takes a while here, and why should rushing be good advice?

That is probably because you often generalize. With certainty means one can assume. But that is not the case. There are plenty of cases where it goes faster. And the other two quotes also include the later start of construction but don’t say a word that it couldn’t go faster.
We recently had this with the wood, where you wrote that there is no wood. Or with the kitchen, which in your opinion must necessarily be drawn in the building application.
Your contributions give others the impression that it must necessarily be like that. That unsettles people who don’t have the experience.
Don’t get me wrong, you also give many great tips ;).

That was about your question of what is defined as necessary. And the answer may be somewhat complicated in length, but the core of the answer is recognizable. And when it comes to residential buildings that are applied for, there are specifications by definition. Ultimately, I can write ten really great things, on the eleventh faster post the generalization police comes through Silke because Yvonne „always“ generalizes ;) In a forum, one should often read the sentence several times and differently. It’s kind of crazy with you  Enough off-topic from my side.

6 sqm for bed, desk, and small wardrobe is enough.
Very small children = crib, baby bed, or in the living room with the parents
Slightly older children = play a little on the floor in the room, otherwise in the living room
Children become teenagers = either stay in bed with their phone/tablet, watch TV or sit at the computer
Almost adult children = with boyfriend/girlfriend in bed or alternatively out and partying.

Our two rooms next to the bedroom (16 sqm) are 10 and 11 sqm. The one with 11 sqm faces S/W and is therefore currently an office. The 10 sqm room with N/E orientation will be the children's room. This is better in the early years since it does not heat up as much.

I think that's completely sufficient. If necessary, you can always rearrange later because we still have a development reserve of 50 sqm of floor space (37 sqm living space) in the attic.

As long as everything fits, that's great. I think children nowadays are overwhelmed anyway with too much useless, colorful clutter.

I also think that's enough.
In my opinion, the reason why children like to play in the living room so much has less to do with the size of the room and more with the location of the rooms.
I know very few, if any, children who like to play alone on the otherwise empty upper floor. There they do not notice what is happening downstairs, and usually that is probably the appeal of playing in the living room – everyone is there and you can hear what the parents are talking about.
We lived on the ground floor, and we liked playing in my parents' study the most – right next to the living room.
