Thank you all for the many suggestions and tips!
We have also reconsidered swapping the living room and kitchen. We also think it would be inconvenient to always have to go through the living room for a short trip to the kitchen (and also to carry the groceries even further).
How often do you sit at the table with 6 people while also having the fireplace on? If not too often, I would place the fireplace directly in the corner. And no, a fireplace is not pointless in a modern house. We have the heating permanently set to 20 degrees. That is too cold for us when sitting and when both of us are at home during the day. Therefore, the fireplace is always turned on additionally in the evening and also briefly during the day in the current weather. Since our open living space is connected to the hallway, the warmth also spreads to the other rooms. I would not exchange the kitchen and living room either, because otherwise everyone would have to go through the living room to get to the kitchen. And with kids and their friends, you never get any peace.

In the previous drawings, we did not place the wood stove directly against the wall because we feared that it would then be too close to the TV with the TV stand. But I will definitely try the suggestion. The upper floor does not play a major role for us at the moment; we have tried different chimney positions and were often able to find a satisfactory solution, so I have not posted a floor plan here for now.
I also don’t understand why the fireplace is in the middle of the room and, like Motorradsilke, would place it against the wall and thus closer to the ridge. There are nice models with glass panes on three sides, which I can well imagine here.
Of course, it might be that this doesn’t work with the upper floor because something else is planned there. But since we are consistently kept in the dark by the thread starter regarding the overall plan (precisely why you need it!), I have no desire to invest more brainpower into this.

We had a very similar idea at the beginning as well. Unfortunately, our seating window would have to give way here, which we do not want to do, and the dining area felt a bit too cramped. Furthermore, we would have to plan another window in the kitchen area, which we would prefer to avoid, as the south side of the house is unfortunately very visible.
the kitchen would be smaller in the corner

the table in the picture is 100x180
By the way, we will have an air-water heat pump.
