I did push the door into the hallway once. With a width of 180, that is fine.

Thank you very much for your effort and implementation of your ideas. We are not quite sure whether the size of the kitchen is justified compared to the living room. Shouldn't the living room provide the space? Currently, it is just as big as in our apartment, and there 16m² is already relatively small.

Personally, I prefer my own version here

One could also swap the hallway with WC/wardrobe and leave the wardrobe as a triangle...

Well: on the one hand, in your variant the living area would only be the 3.10 width, the rest is dining area. On the other hand: what does your everyday life look like? ...In the house?! Do you want the chill couch centrally because after work you are hardly active anymore? Or does the evening routine happen in a moving, active way, where the shared eating and talking at the table keeps the family together? The trend among families tends toward an active evening at the big table, where games are played or crafts are done together. The retreat area can then be somewhat smaller – you don’t need more than a couch and TV.

In your variant the TV will broadcast throughout the whole house

Good morning,

for me, it is primarily not about the gross area, but about the "lived free space." I don't want to feel like I'm in a city apartment in my living room, so it can definitely be open, but not necessarily to the kitchen.

The sound from the TV can only be heard in the hallway and possibly in the kitchen. The "private" living area is separated, so I don't see a problem.

I was just wondering why the net area is smaller; it’s probably due to the thicker exterior walls. What measurements did you use there? Do you have a dimension of the hallway? I measured in our apartment: 1.20 m is quite narrow but probably sufficient if it’s just meant as a walkway. Maybe I should come to terms with the idea of designing the kitchen and living room partially open to have a more spacious view. What I don’t like are the sparse windows on the south side; here I wish for more “glass.” What do you think about placing the bathroom and wardrobe to the east between the kitchen and bedroom? That could enlarge the living room. The bathroom at around 10 m² might be oversized and some of that space could be taken from the kitchen. Best regards Michael

It says 1.80

They want to move around there too. A family often comes home together: should they squeeze through the hallway until they stand in the living room and then take off their muddy shoes?

I think I took 34. I knew that Town & Country doesn’t build exactly thick ...

Why?

I think you are now desperately trying to take a bit away everywhere from good sizes so that one room, where you are rather inactive and sit on furniture, thus hardly needing space to move, gets more. You are orienting yourself by numbers.
For example, the bathroom wants to be used by 4 people, which will still be exciting during fine-tuning if you want a walk-in shower, a privacy wall, and a radiator.
What about the kitchen? Will there be a woman in the house? Does she want an island? Does she have many kitchen appliances? Where do you put your fruit? Knife block?
And if you have a dining table in the middle, you also have to constantly conquer it.

Your next draft should definitely include furniture. Without that you cannot evaluate.
