Well, I’m relaxed about it, it just has to please both. I also think the room layout is okay as we planned it...

But I have rearranged a few things - storage room next to the kitchen, bedroom straightened, and I also tried to fit in a guest toilet (would work if I give up the shower corner protruding into the utility room, right?). I haven’t made much progress with the bathroom yet - I tried a T-wall, but it doesn’t work with the width. I’ll have to tackle that again tomorrow.

You’ll see those when the house is finished. We’re not doing shutters.

I’ve now drawn the windows according to your suggestion—not 100% because it didn’t fit everywhere (space-wise). I’m still unsure: is it too many or too few? Does it really fit like that in the reading nook? Or should I leave more space for furniture along the walls? Do I need the kitchen window or is the light from the two patio windows enough? Are fixed floor-to-ceiling windows in the bedroom and on the south wall in the living area sensible? If yes, does the layout make sense like this?

And another question: the lintel here is now 0.43 m high. Is that too high/much? I keep reading everywhere that 0.30 m is recommended because of the angle of light.

I have now thought about the bathroom again... at the moment I would most likely go with option 2 - even though I'm not a fan of having a bathtub built in right at the front. Everything else somehow always seems only suboptimal... Are there any better possibilities? No idea if I already have a blockhead by now...

(Edit: I just realized, with option 2 I could of course also swap the bathtub and the shower...)

Have you now drawn in 21 windows?
And some are already very narrow... if you subtract the frames, does any light still come through?

Do your furniture actually exist? 1 meter dining table... I know them as 1.20... better 140 diameter.

Plan 1 meter width for a toilet, and also for the shower.

Oh dear, a forum sometimes unsettles more than anything else: these are the window sizes as proposed here (by 11ant) with the 0.24 wide mullions.

Look here:

And I have now tried it like this. If there are better solutions, always bring them on. I would also like to set the lintel a bit lower and thus make the windows higher. Such a window seat would still be nice... But I have no idea how that can work with the regulations.

I’ve been experimenting a bit more with the windows - but I’m still not really satisfied. I’m now a bit afraid that 0.76 is too narrow. Especially with the floor-to-ceiling windows. In principle, the size and division specifications only apply to the street side, so I should actually be able to install different window sizes on the other sides as long as they are in portrait format. But what would be a good format/good size?

(One more question: Don’t you also find the lintel of over 40cm a bit long?)

Don't you have an architect or general contractor who can help you with that? Definitely not the forum for such final things!
