In the department store, however, I am informed beforehand that additional costs will be incurred and to what extent. There are also clothing stores where this is included in the service.

Hello Pinkiponk

that's how you should do it.
Craftsmen work to earn money.

Addendum: It is not about being right or a know-it-all, I just want to be able to understand how the craft works, as I will soon be dealing a lot with craftsmen.

I understood your initial post to mean that a very simple electrical installation was included in the contract. That’s what I mean by price for a functional solution.

That is also a valuable hint. I still believe it would be easier, perhaps also for craftsmen, the other way around, namely that you are informed about additional costs beforehand instead of the layperson having to explicitly ask about every detail, but if that is the usual practice in construction, the client must take that into account.
