I find that interesting. Does that mean a craftsman does not have to inform me beforehand, (ideally in writing), what costs will arise for which service and which measures are necessary for the functional end product?

The problem is that you didn’t get a cost estimate for the extra work beforehand. That can really add up with: Do this here and do that there...

Hello Pinkiponk

the prices were indicated.
You see a pair of trousers in the department store. Costs 100 euros. You buy the trousers, want them shortened a bit and tailored a bit tighter. Maybe also a small patch. Then the trousers cost 100 euros plus tailoring work.
It’s the same with the electrician. One fault point plus one switch plus 5 sockets in the living room. Now you want a 2nd switch and 2 more sockets. That costs more too.

The costs for the functional equipment were already available. We cannot seriously claim all rights that suit us and reject all responsibility and obligation when they do not suit us. As adult, responsible, and legally competent people, it is not too much to ask to inquire about a price ourselves, is it? The law basically sees it the same way - exceptions can of course always be constructed.

Well, come on. If I order 44 more sockets without asking what it costs, it's my own fault. That has nothing to do with forgetting in the tender or offer that you need a distribution box and the price comes on top of that. I order something additional. If I'm not a king Midas, I just have to ask what it costs.

I would like to examine this point and learn from it. So it means I have to ask about the cost for every detail/handshake because the craftsman is not obliged to inform me that this will incur additional costs?
