No door between the bathroom and dressing room?
There are supposed to be hotel rooms where the toilet is right in the middle of the bedroom. Sorry, but for me the emperor simply has no clothes on there.

I have to agree with - is it all really livable if you don't know where to put/store the everyday items?

Why did you decide to plan the living floor on the upper floor? There isn’t even a nice sunny terrace (missed that yesterday)

Hello everyone,

thank you very much for the feedback! I think for further understanding I will upload the exterior views in two weeks, which we are still waiting for. It is supposed to be a dark gray/black house.

The living floor is on the upper floor, as we live on the south slope and from there have a very nice view with access to the terrace (to the west) and garden to the north (terrace covered). So there are two terraces.

We no longer have dormers, only several skylights. The gallery will be accessible by a ladder, although it is still questionable whether it really protrudes like that or basically starts with the kitchen cabinets and therefore only goes through the master bathroom.

The door to the bedroom is still missing, we also noticed that during the review. That really wouldn't work otherwise.

The roof over the bedroom will be a shed roof, so basically a trapezoid shape at the end.

The closet niche, which is assigned to the bathroom, will still be assigned to the kitchen and will house the vacuum cleaner/mop there. The rest otherwise in the utility room. And that brings us exactly to the open point on our side:

The bathroom should have daylight in the basement (back on the slope, so cellar, front with windows to the south), but the utility/technical room should ideally have it as well. We would like to use the space under the stairs with a built-in closet by the carpenter. We can't get used to a bathroom without daylight/only with a basement window. Alternatively, a light well toward the east, but again associated with higher costs. Does anyone here still have an idea?

@ Solveigh: How far along are you? I really liked your design back then!!

We only ever have one crate of beverages, we drink from the tap. But there will be space for it in the kitchen. The wall in the basement is the support; under the terrace there will be a covered walkway into the house (between the basement outer wall and the concrete wall). I will upload a picture of the section in the next few days; then it might become clearer.

Why flashy? It is a fairly simple house (that's what I think) - so I am very interested why it appears that way to you.

Ah, okay. Well, if you’re fine with that. So, we have a pantry of just under 5m². It’s full. First, there is the waste separation with 4 bins (Yellow Sack, paper, residual waste, glass), then a tall cabinet with food supplies, canned cat food – okay, not everyone has that – a wine rack, and of course the famous drink crates – my husband has recently started drinking beer sometimes – well, that isn’t available from the tap for us yet. (THANK GOODNESS!!!) Maybe it’s deceptive, that can be. Such huge glass fronts are of course always something special at first. You only have one side with light – sure. But because of that, everything is visible – you don’t shy away from showing everything – from presenting. If then functionality has to give way to beauty, everyone immediately wonders what the reason is. Showing off? But as I said, that can also be a completely wrong impression. Over 14m of width is not exactly subtle either. That’s totally logical – the depth is missing for it. But when you stand in front of it, you don’t see that. At first, you’re just amazed by the huge “cinema screen.” The exterior design is always important too. How does the house fit into the neighboring buildings and the landscape? You don’t plan stingily on that either, right? Okay, I exaggerated deliberately to clarify – so don’t be mad.

Thanks for asking, we are close to submitting the building application planning. I am still struggling with the side terrace in the living floor in our planning and am glad that you are planning it similarly, so we are not completely alone.

Personally, I don't find your house flashy, even though that was certainly an exaggerated expression. On the contrary, your house adapts to the conditions, which a sloping plot unfortunately inevitably brings. As often seen in the forum, you cannot simply place a catalog floor plan on a slope.

The ladder to the mezzanine would not be my choice, as I wouldn't climb it often. I liked your first draft better.

Also, the separation of the bedrooms. But I understand your reasons with the reduction of the cubic volume = reduction of costs.

Do you have a beam construction in the open space above the living area? This probably explains the grid of 3.20m?
