We still have some open points, maybe someone has ideas about them: - Use of space under the concrete stairs (suggestion: built-in closet as a storage room)
Sure, why not?
- Wall between cloakroom and stairs removed, make it more open (shoes are taken off in front of the door, a bench is planned there)
I would leave it. That way, at least the stuff is limited to one area. I can imagine small children don’t always hang their clothes perfectly on the cloakroom hooks. At least then you don’t see that mess constantly from afar..
- Doors on the ground floor: two sliding doors and one normal door to the bedroom/bathroom area: rather a sliding door to the bathroom/bedroom area and two normal doors instead? Do we even need a door between living and sleeping areas?
I am in favor of normal doors and I wouldn’t leave any out.
- Door to the utility room in the basement moved further into the hallway, so that you access the bathroom through the utility room: Then the hallway area could be better used and at the front of the utility room there would be a dressing room for the children before entering the bathroom. What do you think about that?
I wonder where your guests are supposed to go to the toilet? Do they go upstairs to the bathroom? Rather unusual but not impossible. If not, they have to rush downstairs. I find that a bit strange but still okay. But if they then also have to fight their way through the children’s dressing room, you really shouldn’t let anyone in except good friends.
- Exposed concrete wall in the stair/living room area (north/east) from the basement (cellar) up to the ground floor (possibly concrete then as well)
Whoever likes it, sure. I don’t like it. The rest of the criticism hasn’t changed compared to the first draft. What I don’t understand is, where do these doors lead?
