Thank you for your honest opinions! I am currently doubting. All this planning has been going on for months now and if the best that has come out of it so far is being torn down with quite understandable arguments, then I’m really getting nervous. Oh man...
But you’re holding up bravely in the wrong forum. Maybe you should go to the planning forum?
There’s the street there too, right? Overall, I find the floor plan unconvincing.
I don’t think it’s that bad. Expandable, if…
The door can surely be moved a few centimeters to the right so that it can open further. Is that the problem you have with it? Or what else bothers you about it being on the left?
Personally, I clearly miss dimensions there. A door on the left and stairs on the right, with a glass element next to the door can look nice… However:
I suppose what bothers you about the dressing room and the utility room is the "tube-like" character?! I can’t really disagree with you there.
How long and wide is the staircase? To me it seems either too wide or too short. Possibly you can just make it spiral. How wide is the tubular section that’s on every floor? Without knowing the plot (or was it in the first posts? I only started reading with the new drawings) I would move the stairs to the other side of the corridor. Also change the door, near the wardrobe. I would put the kitchen with a window strip in the front, living room in the back. Definitely plan a reference window/patio door to the garden at the top of the plan, otherwise you have nothing of it. Upper floor: rotate the bathroom, children’s room and bedroom clockwise.
