Are marine exhibitions generally very expensive?

I find it very exhausting to copy my posts in order to counter your interpretations.

An example:

I did not write that all craftsmen in the database are Hei-o-peis, I wrote that everyone can register there, so that they are in the database.
That does not mean that all in the database are Hei-o-peis, but that they are represented there among others.
And it was related to the fact that it was said here in the forum that even Reuter offers a craftsmen service, so totally great. I mean that this service means nothing. It is a database as a service for Reuter. Any company can register there if they want. The same applies to the Ikea kitchen service.
The consumer is better off if they take a craftsman from their region, possibly from the town or someone they trust.

MyHammer I did not mention in this context.
I also don’t read in other posts that someone else misread it as badly as you did.

Therefore I will no longer address other matters. It is misinterpreted anyway. For me that is a waste of time.
It doesn’t help the OP at all.

I don’t know what this malice is supposed to be!

As if this is about bashing GUs and their house building.

Then write it like that... Because that can happen faster due to a clog. If it’s the pipe: the general contractor’s problem. If it’s the toilet bowl: bad luck.

But it’s true. Enforcing claims can be very, very difficult. Unfortunately, that’s generally the case right now. Without liability insurance, you’re screwed anyway. The general contractor just bleeds you dry.

...ok, I understand that. But it apparently can’t be avoided and happens, also to you.

An example:

Nobody claimed that either, but only made the point to clarify that there definitely are plumbers who are willing to install customer-supplied materials. It was hinted that nobody would install that, which is not true. Nothing more, nothing less. Also, nobody claimed that these are all premium craftsmen, but confirmed that there are also duds among them. Just like in real life, you can catch a dud at the general contractor as well. You can, not must. Furthermore, I explicitly said that finding a plumber who installs third-party materials in metropolitan areas/larger cities can be an option. I did not say that this is possible everywhere in Good Old.

That’s just your opinion and that’s okay too. Mine is that you definitely need to look closely and not uncritically take the first entry from the list. In my opinion, it’s no different from the Yellow Pages. You’ll find duds everywhere, also in the database, sure, but likewise locally and also at the general contractor. With the latter, IT MIGHT be difficult to resist a commission. I won’t say more, you interpret the rest actively yourself, which is pretty normal. That’s why we talk to each other...

I fully agree with you there, too. I absolutely say nothing to the contrary. Why would that, for example, exclude the Reuter database? There are perfectly normal local craftsmen in there. It’s not about not employing non-local tradesmen at all. If the database doesn’t show anything nearby or only duds are listed, then you probably have to bite the bullet and take the tradesman who brings the materials and possibly demands a high price. The likelihood is just lower in cities and metropolitan areas, hence my restriction to those. So where is the problem now?

No hard feelings. Apparently, we just have different perceptions... and won’t get any further. So my suggestion is, let’s leave it at that, okay?

Totally agree....
[/QUOTE]

Your interpretation, which I do not share and do not perceive either. At least I wrote my motivation above. Of course, I can’t speak for others, but I haven’t yet read any intention of agitation against general contractors... anyway, we won’t get any further.

As I said, I have no understanding for dismantling a house and general contractor that costs 400k and up and inviting trouble.

That would be like ordering the A4, configuring it, and then not having the seats delivered because they are too expensive and then having them installed in Poland.

You see, and this is where we differ. My opinion is that it is an option that you don’t necessarily have to take, but you can. Depending on what kind of person you are and how you like things. I personally don’t assess the risk of disputes as higher. I absolutely understand that you come to a different assessment based on your own experience and I at least don’t want to argue that away.

For me, the risk of incurring damage correlates with the probability of occurrence – and I see – for the reasons mentioned, that you can find fools everywhere – not significantly higher than when commissioning a local craft business with a good reputation (which I might have found in a database, like for example [Reuter]).

If trouble arises, it is certainly annoying, but I personally cannot understand that it would automatically be less stressful with a general contractor.

For example, with the A4, I would rather see it as not ordering the cool but ridiculously expensive alloys, but getting them myself and having them mounted (or doing it myself). But of course, there are certainly different views on this… and that’s okay. Nothing has to be done, but much can be done…

Even if 20 pages of the house construction forum are filled here, the "I buy from the plumber at exorbitant prices" people will not get their money back. Just create your own thread: "I buy from the plumber and am happy," that way you can reassure each other.
