Exactly, and the burglars can turn on the light

Speed doesn't matter.
Shutters don't have to go all the way down
Cleaning is difficult for everything that is located on the upper or attic floors

In our current house we have [Raffstores]. And to be honest, I don’t want anything else. These things are really very sturdy (there may be different qualities). For us, a must-have in the upcoming house construction. I see the advantages in the adjustability and thus the exposure to sun or shading of the respective room. And since we want that anyway on the ground floor ([WZ], [EZ], kitchen), and I am not a fan of different systems, they are also in the upper floor. Of course, it is primarily a matter of taste. Today’s prices for [Raffstores] are no longer as high as they were 10-12 years ago. That can of course make a decision easier.

I also don't see cleaning the roller shutters as a problem. Just drive up and hold a water hose on them.
High-speed motors if you think they run too slowly. We have them on the doors, great and quiet! We didn't see it as necessary on the windows either. I don't really care how long they open or close.
Proper automation is a must - precisely because of situations like vacations or storms.
Our shutters don't rattle at all! I had imagined it to be very annoying because I am very sensitive to noise, but we haven't heard anything yet.
When I built my first house 13 years ago, we decided against it for cost reasons. The prices have dropped significantly - just as you say !

I never wanted anything else!

Our Raffstores for the living/dining area and kitchen are also installed without wind guards. These are the wind-resistant blackout profiles from Warema; in my opinion, you can’t break this stuff without a sledgehammer. In any case, I see no problems up to wind force 140.

But how do you control the [Raffstore]? Only with an up-down switch?

Exactly - old school, as the "smartphone unboxing generation" would say.
