Your projects 2020 - What's coming up with you?

Projects for 2020: -Fully renovate the attic -Remove the old terrace and replace it with one about 3 times larger -If applicable, summer kitchen with grill, swivel grill, and wood stove

Projects for 2020, partly also 2021:
- Prune fruit trees
- Remove yuccas (4 pcs.) and then completely redesign the flower bed
- Create a new barbecue area
- Renew weatherboards
- Remove old plaster in the hallway / stairwell, replaster, repaint
- Paint door frames
- New doors
- Otherwise garden, garden, garden and
- Very important: grill a lot in summer and enjoy the house and garden

I would really be up for that too, but haven't had time so far.

Me neither so far, but I have decided to take the time for it now. The next step is that I want to read my digital electricity meter via the Raspi.

Project to set up a small smart home via a Raspberry Pi with ioBroker by the end of 2019/2020.
- Reading Xiaomi Aqara temperature/humidity sensors

I had planned that for ages too but never got around to it due to lack of time. I recently came across ioBroker and started working on it. With a bare Raspi and no prior knowledge of ioBroker, I was done in two hours with graphical evaluation over time of various Xiaomi sensors. Of course, you can spend much more time on dashboards and smart controls, etc.

Planned for 2020:
- Plant THE tree
- Enclosure for 4 tons by the street, we are currently juggling between cars to the other end of the driveway
- Remove 3-4 fir trees, create the last bed at the driveway. So, the front garden
- Enclosure for heat pump
- Set up office
- Redecorate living room
- Baseboards for the whole house
- Clear out 50m² attic, everything gone

This year we landscaped the garden: new hedge, lawn, wooden terrace, flower beds with perennials, garden shed, path in the garden.

Projects in 2020 with us:
Build a terrace
Build a fire pit with seating
Splash guard strip
Entrance platform
Paint the base

And for the next 5 years, landscape the garden. That will still take quite a while. I'm glad that the previous owner had already planted grass and that at least it’s somehow green in the back.
