I'll put it this way, if the 23m façade were at least in Bauhaus style. Then such a façade appears simple and yet timeless.

But otherwise... I think people would be shocked if this planned façade is implemented as it is... My opinion. ...

Otherwise, good luck that this doesn't happen to you...

On paper, 23 meters looks manageable... In reality, that's the length of a barracks.

We are having the windows again unplanned at the front. We have now decided on 2-wing windows and are quite impressed.

I am still a bit worried about the size. The windows are now supposed to be 126 x 151 cm. So rather tall and not square. The architect says this fits the building structure and the 265 ceiling height inside.

Question. Does anyone else have windows that are 150 cm high and can send me a real photo?

I find the size a bit tall although it fits the rest.

Thanks for the feedback

Under the circumstances (client confuses proportional aesthetics with symmetry), the architect still manages to get the most appealing result out of it.

Width 126, in my opinion, is already the lower limit for double-leaf design, but it fits, also in terms of proportion. At least in the overall context.

It is hopefully clear to use only flush sashes here – with mullions it becomes too narrow, also practically and legally with regard to escape route suitability.

The height must correspond with the room height. Lintels are practically like "upper thresholds," meaning they cast shadows on the ceiling (not in the sense of sharply defined zones, but the light intensity reaching there is measurably reduced).

With a height of 126 instead of 151, you would turn on the light half an hour earlier in winter, simply because it then "feels" darker from the ceiling downwards. Note, this is not due to less window area, but due to higher "upper threshold height."
