Roof windows don’t help with the problem here either: it’s not the rooms that have too little light, but the roof eaves themselves become dark holes. Only windows in the gable help there. I would simply "extend" the elements closer to the middle into the gable.Roof window is a good idea, but I decided against it.
They would also be nonsense that narrow. Folding sliding doors don’t fit here unfortunately, also because of the chimney that divides one gable.My wife doesn’t want a tilt-and-slide door towards the terrace, and the architect said it is also hard to keep terrace doors wider than 1 meter (per leaf) open permanently.
Overall, I have to say that you almost admirably create a barracks charm: my visual association is "village community center" (with a senior day care) or "officers’ club" (of a campsite). Not even Danish clinker bricks will save that.
