Why are modern houses so warm?

I would have to measure that. In any case, they are nicely warm. Have you checked the settings of the heating? How warm is it in your house?

It's very subjective - we are currently living with my parents again and downstairs there is a defective, older underfloor heating system. It used to deliver about 60 degrees to the supply line for a while - you could almost cook eggs on it and my parents said it was "just a bit warm". Nowadays it works again, but generally the supply temperature is too hot and that’s unpleasant. It used to be like that often, and that's where the opinion about the "swollen feet" comes from - which was no surprise.

Today's underfloor heating systems run almost unnoticed...

Upstairs we have classic radiators and they warm up very, very quickly. But besides the familiar smell of heating (my childhood), the warmth is very unpleasant - it blasts heat.

Here too, something has changed with a lower supply temperature, but just the ugly things that simply take up space...

There are also wall and ceiling heating systems, although they are not cheaper. I don't know the latter, but I somehow imagine it unpleasant as well.

:

You have underfloor heating on the stairs???

You only notice our underfloor heating when it's below freezing outside... with anything above zero, the supply temperature hovers around 25-30 degrees and the tiles and parquet are cold...

We can feel the underfloor heating through the carpet and the vinyl. But only weakly. You should really check the settings of your heating. But you haven't been in the house for that long, have you? That means the settings are not yet perfectly adjusted to your usage behavior.

What do you suggest?

Hot water is set at 45 degrees.

All room thermostats at 23 degrees.

Wgt at 19 degrees.

Supply temperature is currently around 26 degrees with an outside temperature of 10 degrees.

I lowered the target temperature on the air heat pump by -2 degrees.

What else can be changed?

23 degrees is unusually warm for the normal habitats.

What installation spacing does your underfloor heating have in the individual rooms?
