That was meant rather with a wink on my part. Our garden will certainly have a "stone corner" and the rest will be turf. I would love to have palm trees in the garden, but here in northern Germany they probably wouldn’t survive long. However, I haven’t inquired about that here yet. I have no opinion on the enclosure yet. At first, we thought about gabions, which should then be filled with stones. But that actually doesn’t look very friendly. I don’t like thujas when they are trimmed. They always turn brown then. But probably I just have no clue. I have always been an apartment child and used to let cacti dry out myself.

The tricky part about the popular anthracite - I assume we are talking about RAL 7016 - is the bluish tone of the color. We changed our color concept again shortly before the end because only very few window colors ultimately match the naturally weathered facade. In the shade, at night, and without other gray tones nearby, it simply looks dark gray. As soon as there is a lot of light or, for example, a black surface involved, the color almost looks blue. Originally, we had planned a Schüller/Next kitchen in "Lavaschwarz," but that no longer worked visually - so we had to completely redesign.

A big advantage of the color is that the window frames "disappear" - from a distance, each window almost looks frameless, and from inside to outside, you have the same effect at night. We still need to find suitable wall colors soon, but so far, I like the frame color.

Exactly that depends on your neighbors with anthracite-colored gravel as lawn replacement, whether the palm trees will be warm enough in your residential area.

Actually, we wanted to design our house roughly in this form, but with a very dark, gray gable roof, windows wrapped in wood, and slate-gray shading.
And now guess what? Shading in that color is no longer available...
Now white tones, bronze and stuff like that are still possible and...

anthracite!

Wood veneered? So plastic windows with a design foil on them?
It's a pity if the shading is no longer available.
You are already quite far in the construction. Who is procuring the shading or who has promised it? I would try to have a conversation about how I could still get my desired color.

Yes, they are Schüco plastic windows. Wrapping is actually a tricky thing, but we were able to see the wrappings in the exhibition. They looked very good. The window installer now wants to check which colors might still work.

Edit: is architect construction with individual contracts, changing dealers is difficult at this point.
