White-anthracite - Where does the preference come from?

Same here. But I haven't seen anything "new" that I like better.
Colored houses (yellow tones, green tones, brown tones) definitely exist in our neighborhood, they are just the city villas with the white-framed windows. This trend goes back quite a long time... So basically nothing new. But I can't think of anything better, and I believe many others can't either, so it just stays with these combinations.

We also have white / anthracite. Back then I thought it was great and it was also cheaper. When the money is gone, white suddenly is beautiful anyway. But I have already told my husband, the next time we paint the house it will be pink.

I would love a shade of rose, but because of my genes, I don't even need to start with that. The pale yellow is a compromise for us.

When I was still renting, I lived in a house that, to me, was pink (the landlord claimed it was "terracotta," just a man). I thought it was really great and would choose such a color immediately.

I find pink houses absolutely terrible, for example. Pale yellow or apricot, on the other hand, I find quite acceptable; it also looks quite nice with plants in the garden. Best regards Sabine

Well ... I would call black and white and everything in between "non-colors" or neutral. Or as calls it: timeless. You can combine any color / wood or whatever with it and it works. Example bathroom: white-gray-anthracite and you set the color accents with towels, bath mats, decor, etc.
