White-anthracite - Where does the preference come from?

For me, anthracite is a uniform mush that we avoided. Especially since our development plan didn't allow much variance and therefore everything here is white/anthracite for that reason. If it's just the windows, it's still okay, but most fall into a real anthracite craze. See the example of the driveway in this thread. People simply can't do anything else anymore, inside or outside. Tasteless, no personal touch. I always think of the theme music of the series Weeds (Malvina Reynolds - Little Boxes). All the same.

By the way, it’s the same picture with passenger cars: black, gray, silver, white have the largest market shares.

Unfortunately, we are also totally mainstream: black and white as car colors. I had to give up my red BMW with a heavy heart (my husband said it had served its purpose) and since we only buy used cars, you unfortunately don't have much influence on the color choice. Otherwise, I would like to have a nice blue or a dark red... but with a used car, the equipment and the general condition tend to be more decisive than the color.

Always depends on the brand .........

yellow VW = no thanks
yellow Ferrari with black accents = wow, give it here (e.g. the 458)
