White-anthracite - Where does the preference come from?

With them, though, it's mainstream again. Except with sidepipes.

We discovered a color concept for a multi-family house a few years ago that we really like and would like to copy later. Ultimately, it also depends on how it will look on a single-family house - and what shape the single-family house will have.
It is a bright (sand-colored) combination of brick and plaster with windows in anthracite.

What bothers me about a completely plastered facade is always the artificial impression of painted walls. Therefore, I would only choose white for a 100% plaster facade, even if it could look dirty quickly under certain circumstances. Then I just have to clean it with the pressure washer once a year. And since I don’t want white windows on a white facade, I would also go for gray or anthracite here. And that would put me right in the mainstream.

I like beautiful bricks and occasionally see nice interpretations with colored plaster accents.
But I would never choose a completely colored plaster.
Some discouraging examples from the family:
- my grandparents have a facade in light green...
- the neighbors of my wife’s care grandma have a facade in baby blue...
- my uncle chose a gray plaster... that looks both plastic and depressing at the same time

The mainstream house - white plaster facade with anthracite windows - I don’t find bad at all. That is nicely neutral. On the other hand, I definitely don’t like the Villa Kunterbunt and it doesn’t suit my taste.

But in the end, it doesn’t matter - the main thing is that everyone likes their house on their own property!

What bothers me more is the surroundings if only the builder likes it. Anthracite on window frames is fine by me, but not also for the lawn replacement (split "Zen" front gardens) and the hedge replacement (gabions) :-(

Low-maintenance gardening is possible even without a gardener... oh, how happy I would be if I were elected to the city council *Teufelsmeili*
