If it should last a long time and not be too expensive: On my professional forays, I keep seeing "Teak-Outlet" stores. In one of these, we bought two 3-person benches and a correspondingly wide table with an extension and a fold-out additional middle part about 12 years ago. These pieces of furniture have been standing in the garden without a roof ever since and are as sturdy as on the first day. The patina can be sanded off from time to time with a kind of coconut sponge and the wood oiled afterwards. We've probably done that about three times. If I remember correctly, we spent €700 on the table and €300 each for the benches. It is important that the seating test fits – there are surprisingly comfortable benches and real torture spots that look similar at first sight.

I also like teak wood, but we always have reservations because of the environment. So better not.

OT: Planted about 200 trees over the weekend together with Nabu.

Yes, today I would pay attention to a certificate of origin.

OT: I took down a tree over the weekend - it had to make way for a construction.

For your information: not all dealers list themselves on Idealo and co. I have almost always bought equivalent or cheaper somewhere else (not just garden furniture).

They wouldn’t have needed to store anything at all. I didn’t need the furniture over the winter. We would have accepted delivery in the spring, since she would have had to reorder anyway if she had a clearance sale in the fall. But we didn’t get that far in the conversation because she was of the opinion that she doesn’t order tables with wood running lengthwise... period. I just wonder why that one table looked exactly like we wanted, just a bit too long. The length we wanted was listed as an option on a display stand.

Hehe, this seller only sells what he himself likes. So either he is very successful or very unsuccessful...
