Quick question: Why should one always install duplex in the home network?

Whether you lay two separate network cables or a duplex cable is basically irrelevant. I find two separate cables a bit easier to install, especially when you have to go around a corner somewhere.

A network socket should always be designed as a double socket. It doesn't take up more space than a single socket, and whether you lay one or two cables makes little difference in terms of effort. Depending on the situation, you can also save yourself a switch if you have two devices. You can also repurpose a second network line for an analog phone or fax. As the saying goes: It's better to have than to need!

And the GG45 connectors are not compatible with RJ45. Therefore, they probably will definitely not become established.

Easier?

Yes, everything via WiFi or Powerline. In my opinion, networks are totally overrated (ditto: Sat-TV).

I have tried Powerline. It was not satisfactory.
