What ceiling height have you chosen?

2.57m would be too little for me. In a small bedroom, that is fine and looks good, but in a large living and dining area, 10cm more simply looks much more spacious. Take a look at [Musterhäuser], there you can see different ceiling heights.

Best regards

I haven’t actually measured, but it should be just about 250cm; the 245cm curtains start about 2cm below the ceiling and hang just above the floor. However, I don’t find the nearly 240cm in my parents’ over-30m² "only living room", meaning without a dining table, to feel cramped. Also, in our guest room/office with just under 230cm, the ceiling doesn’t feel like it’s coming down on me, even though for the living area that would of course be too little... In the previous apartment we sometimes had over 3m, which I often found rather impractical...

Just a question for those with 2.60+ ceiling height. How have you solved the window situation?

Normally, the roller shutter box is directly under the ceiling. Did you then install a lintel, or did you simply choose larger windows?

Because with a parapet height of 90 cm and a roller shutter box height of about 30 cm, the window would have to be 1.5 m high with a ceiling height of 2.70 m. Or am I thinking about this wrong?

Do you not always need a lintel? However, I would definitely recommend higher windows - to be honest, that would have been my main reason for even higher ceilings.

: What does window height in cm mean? We have one window on the front of the house that is 1 m wide and I can't imagine how it would look with a height of 1.5 m.

One more question about your interior doors. You have 2.32 m if I remember correctly. Do you happen to know what the surcharge was/is for 2.1 m?

: Well, for many acquaintances, the roller shutter box is the last element before the ceiling.
