What ceiling height have you chosen?

Well, if I can see whether the sixteen houses have curtains or pleated blinds, that already sounds quite tight.

I have my office in the attic (two full floors below), so my eye level is just under 8m - it definitely has an overview advantage when you have one of the tallest houses in the area.

So I can easily see over 20-30 meters at night without glasses, whether someone is walking around naked by floor-to-ceiling windows. PS if I looked like Brad Pitt, I might not care either

And I find it too bare without curtains.

Hi,

Do you always want to see that... ?

Definitely not your neighbor....

I’ll come back to the topic. We have received the advice several times from people who have already built: "build one row of bricks higher on the ground floor." We planned a large living-dining area with a ceiling height of 2.69m (living measurement). I imagine a lower ceiling to be "oppressive." I don’t know the additional cost, as it was a premise for us. But I would rather save in other areas.

When I bought our house back then, I didn’t care about the ceiling height.
Sure: The high ceiling height was advertised - but to me it was basically "completely irrelevant," whether included in the price or not.

Only after moving in (we also have a large living/dining/kitchen area) did the very good feeling of well-being gradually become apparent - from our personal perspective - due to the comparatively high ceilings.

Now we are VERY happy that we have it.
The comparatively small house (for 2 people) gains enormously in "spaciousness" because of it.

When visiting neighbors (2.55 - 2.6 m), I strangely notice a difference immediately.

Whether passing through interior doors or going outside: Somehow you have "space" above your head. That is relaxing…..

In a bigger house, I imagine it even better and more beautiful - with high ceilings.

Best regards
Thorsten
