What ceiling height have you chosen?

Since we're already talking about high ceilings, how did you solve the curtain situation? We're considering mounting the rail directly on the ceiling. I no longer find rods up-to-date. Is there something modern?

We still have to build.... we don't have the problem yet...

We're not really curtain fans, we're more "Dutch-open" in our approach. However, in the living room we do have some today and there will be some in the new house as well. Specifically, this rail system from Ikea with these sliding curtains "Kvartal".

Classic curtains are not really our thing.

Ist schon verrückt, bei Dir würde ich sagen, passt der Preis für die Geschosserhöhung sehr gut. Bei Deinem Vorposter ist er mir definitiv zu hoch.

They really seem to act fairly and honestly overall with us. However, we only have a plastered wall with ETICS and no brickwork. A brick wall is basically a double wall, does that possibly make it significantly more expensive?

More expensive indeed – every wall is "touched" three times; so there is more craftsmanship involved; significantly more expensive: rather no.

Meanwhile, it is becoming common to not use curtains anymore. In our building area (well over 100 houses), only a very small fraction have curtains. Why? It looks silly.
Alternative: pleated blinds on exposed windows. If you don't want to allow any view once in a while, simply pull them up. Otherwise, they are pushed together and invisible.

By the way, we have completely decided against curtains and pleated blinds. Windows are meant for looking out, not for covering.
