What ceiling height have you chosen?

One way or another, higher ceilings should correspond with taller windows and interior doors, otherwise you can save yourself the cost of raising the floor level. Otherwise, it just looks a bit unfinished, like trying and failing.

Absolutely right. When I imagine the "normal" doors in our place – it wouldn’t look "cohesive."

Upstairs, we have many sloped ceilings.
Bedroom about 18 sqm and bathroom 17 sqm, the ceiling height really comes into its own.

In the two small rooms (AZ / GZ) there is a tiny bit more headroom, we only have 80 cm knee wall, and after subtracting the finished floor, 63 cm remain... so even there, the high ceiling is pleasant.

*Full agreement* we also treated ourselves to a 2.6 m clear ceiling height on the ground floor along with 2.1 m high interior doors and matching terrace doors. Otherwise, it would probably look really strange...

I am actually more curious about the effect of our front door, it is more of a castle gate format: 125*225 cm.... We'll see...

I found 2.10 meter doors a bit cramped with 2.72 meter ceilings - so we have 2.32 meter doors there. And as entrance area 3.11x2.50 (of which the door is one meter).

I am amazed at how much 260 and more is being built. I would have liked that too, but it was unfortunately not possible due to building regulations and our budget allocation.

Out of curiosity, do you know how much extra that cost you compared to the standard 240 or 250?

As an extra charge, we did not have it explicitly - for us it was practically a row of stones; I would assume that it was not that much. I also believe that 2.5 is more the standard in general - at least almost all GÜs offer that.

It would have cost extra to build it with lower ceilings.
(Amount unknown, I did not inquire further at the time).

Only slightly higher costs were caused by the taller interior doors, directly compared to the standard height ones (total < 1000 euros).
