We are completely outside the norm here: We have an open wooden beam ceiling, with a height of 2.42m to the underside of the beams including the flooring, the beams themselves are 22cm high. For us, due to the eave height requirements of the development plan, it was a compromise between a lower ceiling height and a knee wall on the upper floor. But since we only had 2.37m in our apartment at the time, that fits.
On the other hand, we have no attic peak on the upper floor, so an open exposed beam ceiling up to the ridge beam at 3.8m.
