The external cellar entrance for the fellow discussants to the main thread would be this one: :)

Just now I thought of another "case" that I know quite well. My niece had bought an old house with a basement in Hesse and renovated it. Her bedroom is in the basement, as is the guest room, where I always stay. I haven't noticed any cold issues there, and the insulation standard of the basement is about from 1980. In this respect, I would think through the individual relations of usage and costs once.

Thank you for the feedback
Thank you, that is one of the bigger reasons: I don't want to gild my basement, but still make it usable for our purposes.
Yes, that is certainly a good point, but the house is already going to be large and will have many rooms, so we will most likely not put living space down there. Possibly in 12-13 years we might put 2-3 sofas somewhere down there for the kids.
Exactly, I will post the latest iteration there in due course. There were a few pivots.
Thank you for the examples, I will discuss everything again with the company.
I think I will still go a bit higher with the ceiling; if I do an overhead press now, I almost need 2.21 m.

Is it actually possible to install the central controlled residential ventilation in the basement rooms and then do without the light wells?

Should be possible. But it probably won't be cheaper than light wells and windows, although it naturally saves space all around.

Hello, that's exactly what we are doing now. So instead of windows, ventilation system in the basement. We had the recommendation in the soil report because of flooding. Best regards
