Toilet from €27.90 to €500 - objective information on the price difference?

@matte we have the Duravit DuraStyle wall-mounted rimless toilet combi-pack, no visible fastening and nothing splashes out. Price including lid 280 euros is also a bargain. In the granny flat I installed something from Villeroy & Boch, Villeroy & Boch Omnia Architectura toilet seat there was even the decoupling mat included. 149€ and it works, but I have only tested it twice and saw no splashes.

You also cannot compare the online prices with the plumbing prices. The internet prices are so low also because theoretically no one is allowed to install them. The water supplier’s regulations, for example, basically always stipulate that work on water pipes may only be carried out by professional companies. Of course, no one really adheres to this and normally everything goes well. In the worst case, your contamination due to improper installation could get into the neighbor’s water during a pressure drop at the waterworks and kill him after his serious operation and his weakened body. Then you would still have to find out that it was due to the water and then that it was because of you. But then ^^

Sure: as far as oneself is concerned – especially because of savings etc. – one is carefree, but it is a fact: what one wants to admire and touch, these things are also priced in.

With all due respect, have you been to an exhibition lately? R+F offers almost exclusively its own brand. The store is empty, salespeople who ask if they can help? No sign! Honestly, local businesses are eliminating themselves through lack of performance.

It's absolutely rocket science to lay a shitty pipe. And the regulations on top of that. It's just crap, plumbing installation is no different from any other trade in construction.

In Lübeck right next to Ikea in a modern shopping center, Villeroy and Boch operates a bathroom exhibition on two floors. They certainly don’t do this because they want to undercut Ikea’s prices, but because there are enough people in a catchment area of three hundred thousand inhabitants who definitely will not buy their bathroom at Ikea, but want to be pampered and considered special, and will then spend several thousand euros with installation service, which Ikea also offers, only there on a first-name basis and without a gracious lady....Karsten
